It’s been a year for sure, but all of you made it happen and we are stoked for what’s to come. From all of us at Warfighter Outfitters, Team Overland, and Veterans Back 40 Adventure have a great holiday and new year.
We need your input!
We are going to be given the opportunity to sit down with the portland VA director and some of the department heads in a couple of weeks and are looking for your input on questions and topics you wish to hear about. Drop us a line at email@example.com so we can jot them down.
Warfighter Outfitters is hosting a Battle Buddy Drive-by to check in on a fellow house bound Veteran. We will be meeting up at the old Albertsons parking lot at 11:30 on November 14th.
We will conduct a short convoy to Prescot & 76th St. to do our battle buddy check-in, and then we will double back to Prescot to make our way to Cascade station via 82nd Ave. We could do lunch, but in multiple groups due to covid restrictions. Famous Dave’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, and a few other options all share the same parking lot.
The Veteran we are checking in on is house bound due to Mesothelioma caused by Asbestos exposure during her deployment in 2009.
From Katy the Veteran we will be checking in on.
“I was a medic in the 437th Ground Ambulance Company during my deployment (volunteered to go) and part of the 852nd medical care detachment during the rest of my enlistment. For my deployment, the unit was tasked to provide Emergency Medical Services in every FOB and station where there was a semi permanent presence of soldiers, Marines, Navy or airmen was mostly at Arifjan and SPOD (Sea Port of Embarkation and Debarkation). SPOD is where there is a ton of asbestos and where I was exposed to it.”
Having the ability to do a buddy check can mean so much more than most even know. Lets show our support to a fellow Veteran that has not been able to leave the house for a long time.
from 13:00 to 16:00 Warfighter Outfitters will be at @curtsdiscountshooterssupply with the last of our swag for the year.
What we have will be it for the year. This will be first come first serve. If you would like to help get Veterans out on the water this is a great way to help us out.
17843 SE McLoughlin Blvd, Milwaukie, OR 97267
Come meet Warfighter Outfitters & VB40 guides. From 13:00 to 16:00 we will be on site to talk about our upcoming plans for 2021 as well as sell the last of our merchandise to help get more Veterans out on guided trips.
We will meet in Buckeye, AZ then proceed the scenic way to Ajo, AZ. We will take a slow paced scenic tour of the Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. Roads on the Monument are a combination of paved and gravel with some short rocky and sandy sections. This ride is intended for intermediate riders on full sized adventure motorcycles. Rider are responsible for their own expenses and to bring their own lunch. No cooking will be permitted on this trip but we will stop to eat near lunchtime. Ride time on the monument is anticipated at 3-4 hours but may be adjusted widely. Riders should be self sufficient and equipped to make their own minor repairs such as flat tires. After the tour is complete we will return to Buckeye.
Event Details: This will be a single day ride to explore the Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument.
Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument is a U.S. national monument and UNESCO biosphere reserve located in extreme southern Arizona that shares a border with the Mexican state of Sonora. The park is the only place in the United States where the organ pipe cactus grows wild. Along with organ pipe, many other types of cacti and other desert flora native to the Yuma Desert section of the Sonoran Desert region grow in the park. Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument is 517 sq mi (1,340 km2) in size. In 1976 the monument was declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO, and in 1977 95% of Organ Pipe Cactus was declared a wilderness area.
Land for the Monument was donated by the Arizona state legislature to the federal government during Prohibition knowing that the north–south road would be improved and make contraband alcohol easier to import from Mexico. In 1937 the land was officially opened as a national monument.
At the north entrance of the park is the unincorporated community of Why, Arizona; the town of Lukeville, Arizona at the park’s southern border is a border crossing point to Sonoyta, Sonora, Mexico.
Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument is bordered to the northwest by Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife Refuge and to the east by the Tohono O’odham Indian Reservation.

Warfighter Dave is ding a split trip this Saturday. You will hit the early morning salmon bite in the Columbia river gorge. Then you will convoy to the Willamette river falls in Oregon City for some oversized sturgeon fishing.
The Salmon have been slowing down as the run in the lower river is almost over, and this is a great way to have 2 separate amazing experiences in the same day.

ODFW has graced us with 3 more days of salmon fishing on the Columbia river. We understand there are a lot of people being evacuated and are on stand by to be evac`d. We are more than able to get someone back to the ramp ASAP if they are in need to leave early. The numbers going over Bonniville are very good right now and Warfighter Dave has been able to get limits for people every trip out so far.

This post is to inform you that the elk meat donated to Warfighter Outfitters is going to be handed out to those in need on 090520 at the Bend, Oregon Sportsman’s Warehouse parking lot between 0800 and 1200 hours (or until it’s gone).
The address for this location is 63482 NW Hunnel Road, Bend, OR 97703. Please look for our Warfighter Outfitters rigs in the parking lot. When you arrive the meat will be frozen and in the form of wrapped cuts of various shapes and sizes. Based on the expressed interest I am not sure how much we will be able to get to folks and that will be taken into consideration upon their arrival.
Please have some form of past/present military ID on hand such as a DD214, VA ID Card, State DL with Veteran verification.
We would love to be able to help everybody but we are not able to ship anything as we are a donation based 501c3 NPO.
There will likely be a second event similar to this in the future once we are able to get time to grind burger meat up. Keep an eye out on the WFO FB page for this.
Thank you for all the responses and THANK YOU for your service,
Warfighter Outfitters is proud to announce we will be hosting 2 separate salmon fishing trips this Friday and Saturday. We are unfortunately getting a very short fishing season this year. These will be highly sought after spots so please do not sign up with out the full intention of attending. (on time)
Warfighter Dave has been on fire this salmon season. He had limits on all his Buoy10 trips this year, as well as putting a few salmon in the boat up river already.
